This app is simple. This app is good looking… for the most part. This app works. This app… won’t let me change the preferences?
Aside from that, I find it peculiar that there is a combination used to delete entries instead of just the ‘delete’ key. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve grown accustomed to just tapping the ‘delete’ key to delete things. That’s really nitpicking, though. The visuals, in general, are so-so. Given I’m experiencing this on a NON-retina MacBook Pro, but I do notice that some of the text appears muddy where it shouldn’t (the category selectors, for example), and the color scheme is perhaps a little too close to iOS7 when it comes to borrowed design cues.
I don’t expect this app to become the ultimate budgeting app (although I can dream, can’t I?), and for the moment it’ll do fine in helping me keep track of my day to day expenses. I do hope a little more time and care is put into refining it in the future though. A decent rating is in order.
